Mountain Bike Network - Tasmania is Tasmania’s peak body for mountain biking.

Tasmania has established itself as Australia’s most successful mountain bike destination. In addition to Blue Derby, Maydena Bike Park, the St Helens Mountain Bike Trails, there have been significant trail developments over the past few years; Wild Mersey, Mount Owen and Heemskirk Range on the West Coast and George Town. These developments have contributed to the diversity and collective appeal of Tasmania for visiting riders.

Despite the obvious successes and rapid growth, the approach to trail development is somewhat ad-hoc and coordinated industry development does not occur. The destination mountain bike market is increasingly competitive with ambitious developments underway across Australia. For these reasons, the Mountain Bike Network – Tasmania was formed in 2020.
